On February 11, the chairman of the regional council of the Kherson region, Vladislav Manger, was announced suspicion of organizing the murder of activist Yekaterina Gandzyuk.

Police detained 5 suspects in the attack on Gandzyuk. These are Vyacheslav Vishnevsky, Victor Gorbunov, Vladimir Vasyanovich, Sergey Torbin and Nikita Grabchuk.
On December 4, 2018, law enforcement officers announced that a citizen by the name of Levin was suspected of organizing an attack on Gandzyuk.
Father Gandzyuk said that the organizer of the murder of his daughter collaborated with the party member of "Batkivshchyna" Vladislav Manger and the party member of the Bloc of Petro Poroshenko Andrei Gordeev.
After this, Munger declared that he was terminating membership in “Batkivshchyna” during the investigation.
On February 9, "Batkivshchyna" excluded Manger from her ranks and recommended to leave the regional council.
