It is noted that the plan for the current year is an integral part of the Humanitarian Response Strategy for Ukraine for 2019-2020, prepared by the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs in cooperation with the Government of Ukraine.

The UN will send assistance to Ukrainians who suffered as a result of Russian aggression in the Donbas, on both sides on the demarcation line.

In 2019, it will be 163 million dollars. It is planned that they will spend 2.3 million Ukrainians among the most vulnerable categories of citizens to help.

First of all, with this money they will buy food, household items, restore destroyed housing, repair treatment facilities, create conditions for pre-school and school education, and also provide medical services.

“More than 40 organizations, including UN agencies, national and international organizations will provide humanitarian aid in the Donbas. The plan is expected to be funded by donor contributions,” said the speaker of the Permanent Mission of Ukraine to the UN, Oleg Nikolenko.

The living conditions of Ukrainians in the Donbas will be discussed at a special UN meeting on February 20.
